Get Involved

There are many ways for our members and supporters to get involved with our campaigning. You do not need to have done any of these things before as experienced colleagues are always on hand to provide any advice or training that is needed.

Here are a few key suggestions for things you can do to help us win in East Lothian:

Door knocking – join our election door knocking campaign sessions to speak to voters across East Lothian about Labour’s message of change. Do not worry if you have not done it before, we can partner you up with someone more experienced until you feel confident going solo.

Phone banking – Scottish Labour is organising regular phone bank sessions for members to speak to voters. Please email us for more details on getting set up to join the sessions.

Digital campaigning – we use Facebook and Twitter to reach more voters and engage with them on our campaigning and policy work. If you can help with this work, please start by liking our Facebook page and following us on Twitter and email us to let us know you are interested in becoming more involved online.

Leaflet and mail deliveries – there are also leaflets, newsletters and direct mail to be delivered too, which help us get our messages across to voters directly. If you can help with making deliveries in your area please let us know.

Fundraising – Election campaigns cost money so we have to fundraise to help pay for them. If you have the skills and enthusiasm to help organise fundraising events or other ideas or contacts for funding our campaigns, please get in touch now.
